Sharon Butler trained as a massage therapist in 1984 and went on to expand her professional skills by completing training in Hellerwork Structural Integration in 1986. Since 1991, Ms. Butler has specialized in repetitive strain injuries, helping people all over the world recover from hand, arm, and upper body pain.


Her book, “Conquering Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and Other Repetitive Strain Injuries: A Self Care Program,” has helped show tens of thousands of people how to manage and recover from their injuries with safe and effective self-care. In 2004, Ms. Butler published seven injury-specific self-care toolkits, one for each of the seven main repetitive strain injuries.


These toolkits provide users with a step-by-step roadmap for reversing the damage that limits their use of their hands and arms. She has trained over 100 healthcare professionals in her hands-on techniques for reversing the effects of RSI’s. Ms. Butler is now retired from in-person sessions and is currently coaching clients online. She resides in Asheville, NC, USA.

  • Ergonomic tips and tricks that can improve injury outcomes.


One specialized exercise for each injury type, in PDF format. This collection of stretches and exercises becomes a great self-care protocol for the practitioner’s own hands and arms.

Each webinar: 1-hour CEU’s: 1 CEU per completed post-test, a total of 8 CEU’s for the entire series Note: Currently, the CEU’s are granted by Hellerwork International and are accepted by The International Association of Structural Integrators. This series is open to all bodywork, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and other interested parties.
